Here we have this Walnut breakfront pedestal desk.

This Victorian desk would have been made in the last quarter of the 19th century.

The desk is made of solid walnut and with mouldings around the drawer fronts and its original brass embossed swing handles.

The writing desk sits on a double pedestal that are fitted 3 graduated drawers in each pedestals.

The top with its quality antiqued hand dyed inset leather writing surface in our burnt orange colour. The leather is then hand gilt tooled around the edge.

It has 3 drawers along the top above the kneehole.

Walnut desks were more expensive when they were first made and so are quite rare.

This desk is recognised as being of the best size.
