A glorious Queen Anne Walnut bureau faced in lovely figured walnut.
The writing fall drops forward to reveal a stepped interior fitted with small drawers and pigeon holes. In the centre of the Queen Anne walnut bureau interior there is a sliding compartment (known as a well) that opens to reveal storage.Inside the well is a sliding secret compartment that is fitted 3 compartments.

The bureau is fitted 2 small drawers above 2 long graduated drawers, all with oak linings.
The desk stands on lovely turned walnut bun feet.
This type of bureau always looks good when mixed with other walnut or oak and country pieces.

The Queen Anne period is normally associated with Walnut furniture. The moldings were made in end grain walnut and the surfaces mainly plain to show off the good walnut veneers.
