This Victorian teak campaign chest was made circa 1875.
As with the majority of Campaign (Military) chests it is made of teak. A timber that was durable and resistant to sea water for use when taken on campaigns by British officers.
The Military chest was made in 2 parts, this made it easy for transportation, and now this is helpful moving to and around your home.
The Victorian teak campaign chest stands on the original turned feet.
The top section is fitted 2 short and 1 long drawer and the base section is fitted 2 long drawers, all are graduated and are fitted with the lovely brass flush handles.
