Colonial hardwood trunk Now Sold

Here we have this Colonial trunk that would be used for wealthy traders to transport their valuables on the silk road in the 18th-19th century.

Made in such a way so that is was durable but also very secure, this meant it was constructed in the best materials for the job at that time. The iron bindings and strapping give this a magical look of a treasure chest and would make a fantastic conversation piece.

These are brilliant as coffee tables and look great in the centre of a room. Of course this can be used for general storage in a hall , drawing room or at the end of the bed.
