Here we have this marvellous writing desk made circa 1900.
Edwardian furniture is commonly regarded as being from the best period of British cabinetmaking as we had the best craftsmen from throughout the world, the best materials and the advantage of the early use of machines in manufacture.
This desirable desk is smoothered in fine inlays to the front and the stationary compartments on the top.
The top has 3 lidded compartments with brass galleries, the central lid opens to reveal a fully fitted stationary section and there are waterfall lids to either side fitted drawers.
The leather tooled inset writing surface above the 3 drawers around the kneehole.
This beautiful desk stands on square tapering legs that end on its original castors.
The desk is also line inlaid and finished on the back, so that it can sit away from the wall.
This desk is wonderful to the eye as well as being a fully functioning desk that would suit any home.
Imagine the admiring looks as you show this off to friends, family or colleagues.
