Victorian walnut partners desk was made circa 1885 in one of the most prestigious workshops of the day and to be sold in the retail store. It has all the hallmarks of Jas. Shoolbread, Maple & Co. and Hampton & sons of Pall Mall.
All were renowned for producing the finest quality furniture for the professional classes and sold in their retail stores.
The desk is made in 3 parts which enables you to transport this desk to and around your home with ease.
It has the lovely feature of the concave central drawer which would have been an expensive extra as this took a lot of skill and time to make.
The top is inset with one of our hand dyed and antiqued leather hide writing surface.
To the rear of the desk is a cupboard in each pedestal with a shelf to the interiors.
Each drawer is fitted the original brass swing handles.
