This Victorian small brass bound chest was made circa 1870. NOW SOLD
It was made for a British officer to carry small valuable items and journals on the arduous journeys around postings to the East.
The teak box with brass corners that were applied to protect it when it was moved from sailing ship to wagon, or mule.
This would make a great item as a small coffee table between 2 chairs in a drawing room or good storage around the home.
