Victorian inlaid rosewood fitted box
This Victorian inlaid rosewood fitted box was made circa 1860. NOW SOLD
The box is inlaid with brass, mother of pearl, and bone into intricate designs. The fine inlay work showed the skill of the craftsman who made this stunning box.
The lid opens to reveal a fitted tray with silver plated lids on glass bottles. The tray lifts out to allow access to open storage.
To the side by pulling out a brass pin a drawer opens on a spring to reveal a secret drawer to store a pocket watch, and rings and other valuables.
This would make a wonderful gift as well as a gift to yourself of course.
