This George III walnut chest on chest was made circa 1760 in a country estate workshop for a large farmhouse on the estate.
Made in 2 parts that splits at the waist. This allows for easy movement to and around the home.
The top section with the 2 half width drawers across the top and a further 3 graduated drawers under, the base with 3 graduated drawers down to the base with the shaped bracket feet. Each drawer is fitted the original open fret swing handles, escutcheons, and a single stringing.
It is of a lovely size, honey colour and with a fabulous patina.
