This fine Edwardian campaign trunk was made circa 1910, is crafted from richly polished mahogany and reinforced with brass corners and mounts, embodying both elegance and durability. Designed in the tradition of British campaign furniture, it reflects the early 20th-century blend of practicality and refined style.
These trunks were used for transporting an officer’s uniforms and other belongings around his postings around the Far East and the British Empire.
The trunk features a rectangular form with clean, understated lines, its warm mahogany surface complemented by polished brass corner brackets and protective strapping. A central brass escutcheon plate and lock to the front emphasize its secure, travel-ready purpose, while the flush brass mounts highlight its military heritage. To each end are wonderful shaped brass plate carrying handles.
