This stunning Antique brass mounted mahogany desk was made in France circa 1880. NOW SOLD
The desk has fine brass edges and mouldings around the doors and end panels, as well as decorative inlaid brass fluting. When this was first made with this feature (brass) it was an expensive extra and so shows how expensive it would have been then, only a few could afford such a piece.
Not only do you have a large work surface you have also the added slides to each side that pull out to give you even more work area.
This high-quality desk comes into 4 parts, so it makes it easy to transport this to and around your home. It splits into the top, a pair of pedestals and the vanity panel that is at the rear.
It has 9 long oak lined drawers, 3 in each pedestal and a further 3 along the top. The centre drawer with a key.
