This Victorian mahogany pedestal desk was made circa 1860. NOW SOLD
It is made in 3 parts so to enable you to transport to and your home or office.
The top which has the usual arrangement of 3 drawers, has an inset red, gilt tooled leather writing surface.
The 2 pedestals are fitted 3 graduated ash lined drawers.
The central drawer above the kneehole is fitted a rare patent lock.
All the drawers are fitted the original turned mahogany handles.
The size of this desk is probably the best size for domestic use as it gives a great working area without being too big.
