This Victorian mahogany double pedestal desk was made circa 1870. NOW SOLD
The Victorian desk comes into 3 parts, consisting of the top and a pair of pedestals that the top sits upon. As it comes into these pieces it makes it very easy to move and transport to and around your home or office.
We have fully restored this pedestal desk including laying a fine hide leather writing surface that is hand dyed and gilt tooled, also done by hand.
Each pedestal is fitted 3 graduated drawers and lined in fine mahogany with brass plate handles. The top section with a drawer each side of the wide centre drawer.
The dimensions of this desk are probably the best for a domestic setting as it gives a great working area without taking up too much floorspace.
