It is a high-quality example of this type of Victorian table.
The wonderful burr walnut oval top that has large decorative motifs to each corner that are joined by boxwood stringing.
The solid walnut base with the 4 columns onto the quadruple carved base.
This table originally was higher but as there is no such item as a Victorian coffee table, cabinetmakers reduced the tables to a coffee table height to fit in with the demand for beautiful antique coffee tables.
