Edwardian inlaid rosewood drop flap side-table NOW SOLD
Here we have this very useful and attractive side-table.
It has multiple uses in the home.
As it can be used with the flaps up or down it can fit into almost any space and also being not too deep it would be great for a narrow passageway if required.
The construction of this table was by a very good cabinetmaker, who has chosen all the materials used to a high calibre.
I do like the feature of the flap supports that open up and become part of the design as they are faced with fan inlays.
Normally these supports are set back and made of a more un-finished effect.
The table has inlaid stringing on all of its surfaces, and also fan inlays to the corners as well as th flap supports.
It is fitted its original brass handles and is raised on castors.
Below the top is one long drawer.
The table stands on tapering legs to each corner and joined by a galleried platform below.
