Here we have this wonderful and very useful camphorwood chest with brass carrying handles to each end.
The buttoned antiqued leather lid that lifts with a cast brass loop handle to reveal a large storage space.
The body with large brass strap corners, that were there to give much protection during its travels on campaigns around the East in the 19thc.
The later leather top in a fine leather that is hand dyed and then antiqued by our own craftsmen.
These make wonderful coffee tables as well as fantastic storage pieces in a bedroom, an alcove or a landing.
