This superb Victorian burr walnut pedestal desk was made circa 1870. NOW SOLD

It was made in one of the premier London workshops of the period, where quality was mode important than the cost.

Made in 3 pieces, the pedestals are separate and the top is placed on top, this allows easy transportation to and around your home of office.

The top section has the original inset green writing surface that is gilt tooled. Below the writing surface you have three drawers, the centre drawer is wider and is above the kneehole, then to each side if this are drawers that sit above the pedestals,

The pair of pedestals are each fitted with 3 graduated drawers, all the drawers have their original turned knob handles.

Victorian burr walnut pedestal desk dating to circa 1870 is a fine example of fine English Victorian furniture. The cabinetmaker selected fine burr walnut to enhance the desks look and to make this a set apart item.

This Victorian desk is finished to the rear, so it can be set away from a wall and in the middle of a room.
