This Victorian burr walnut pedestal desk was made circa 1870. Antique desks made with burr walnut are rare. NOW SOLD
It is of a rare figure of an 8 shape, where it breakfronts front and rear.
The desk was made in 3 parts, this makes it easy to transport it to and around your home.
Fitted the usual 9 mahogany lined drawers, all with brass knob handles.
To the rear it has panels and finished with dummy drawer fronts.
The fine leather inset red writing surface with hand gilt tooling.
This is a fabulous desk and vey difficult to find, especially of this desirable shape.
