This Mahogany twin pillar table was made in the middle part of the 20th century.
It is high-quality and would have been purchased at a high-end retailer.
The cabinetmaker had a good eye for proportion as he made this table that is so pleasing on the eye.
The tops with the rounded corner are set on a pair of pedestals with the gun barrel columns and splay legs coming off this, ending with square brass toes and castors under.
The dining table extends to take the 2 extra leaves, it can be used without leaves or with 1 or both of the leaves.
