The Kings Worthy Dining Table

This mahogany triple pillar dining table is made of solid mahogany, and would have been made in a top workshop of the day in the 1920’s.

The cabinetmaker who made this elegant dining table, would have taken much time selecting the timber to construct this to the high standard it has been made. He also would have had an excellent eye for design and also the best proportions.

The top is finished with a deep cross banding of satinwood around the edge.

The rounded table tops at each end stands on columns, each with 3 splay legs coming off the gun barrel turned pillar, and finishing with solid brass paw toes with rolling castors below. The centre section has the turned gun barrel pillar and a quadruple legged base with the brass paw toes and castors.

This is a comfortable 12 seat dining table, that will comfortably seat 12, imagine entertaining around this dining table with your family and friends, and the pleasure of ownership of this dining table will bring.

You can use this table with or without the leaves in situ. It gives you much flexibility for your dining options.

This style of dining table first came into fashion in the late 18th century, and have stayed very popular ever since.

You will see in Georgian illustrations of interior scenes of the smart London homes and Country settings, gentry and the elite entertaining around such tables.

We have restored this table in our own workshops, by hand in the traditional manner by a craftsman of over 20 years experience.

The table has been re-polished, finishing with a soft wax finish.

The upkeep of the table is very easy, just dust off with a soft cloth lightly to keep up the finish, you may also wish to use a silicon free spray wax. We recommend to use Antiquax, but there are other silicon free sprays on the market.
