Georgian style walnut bedside chest. NOW SOLD
This Georgian style walnut bedside chest was made circa 1930. It was made in a specialist cabinetmakers workshop, not by a mass producer.
Whilst I list this as a bedside chest it obviously can be used in many places around your home.
It would have been made to order, and they would have used recycled timber. By using redundant timber, the cabinetmaker would be able to select a quality and colour of wood that would not be easily assessable even in those days.
Constructed in the Georgian style (made to the shape of the original but reduced in size) and of a size that was more useful for the modern home. Pre 20thc bedside chests were not really made and so the retailers needed smaller chests to suit the new requirement.
It has 4 graduated drawers, all with box wood line stringing and brass plate engraved handles.

Imagine owning this wonderful craftsman made small chest of drawers, it will give pleasure as well as giving you much needed storage.
At the time of publishing, we have a very similar chest, that would have been made in the same workshop. It is a slightly different size, but each side of a bed would not notice
