Georgian style mahogany serpentine chest
This Georgian style mahogany serpentine chest was made circa 1900 by a fine cabinetmaker.
Made to the classic design of the best Georgian examples, the canted corners with blind fret, a deep serpentine shape and ogee bracket feet. Very much how Chippendale designed a fine chest should be.
The 4 graduated drawers with fine oak linings and brass swan neck handles.
A very good and practical feature is that this is not as deep as most of this style of chest and so doesn’t push into the room too much.
