Antique mahogany sentry wardrobe
This Antique mahogany sentry wardrobe was made Circa 1880. NOW SOLD
It was made in a good workshop using the designs and influence of Chippendale and Sheraton.
The cabinetmaker used a very good grade of mahogany before starting to construct the wardrobe.
It has one long door with 2 mahogany cross banded panels, that opens to reveal a full interior with a hanging rail and brass hooks.
Each side of the door the stiles are canted with blind fret panels running up to the top.
The cornice with flutes and carved oval shells.
It stands on shaped bracket feet.
This is a wardrobe that is so useful as it can be used to fit in an alcove or in a hallway as a hall cupboard.
