This Antique Continental ornate gilt mirror was made circa 1870. NOW SOLD
It has been fully restored by our own mirror specialist gilder using citron gold, 23ct double thick, 24ct gold leaf, transfer gold that gives a matt effect, as well as green gold. All these different tones of gold leaf make this wonderful mirror have different tones and contrasts of colour.
The Antique Continental ornate gilt mirror is a portrait shape with the superb crest that surrounds the pair of love birds in the roundel, to each side are h oho birds and griffins.
The original plate mirror glass is hand bevelled.
