Here we are pleased to offer you this Victorian satinwood inlaid display cabinet that was made circa 1880, taking its influence from Sheraton’s book of designs. NOW SOLD
This elegant cabinet is constructed in fine Satinwood with fine marquetry inlays to the glazed doors, cornice, drawer fronts, and the top surface. The sides and legs with double strung line inlay.
The double door display cabinet to the top, the doors with shaped glazing bars. These open to provide access to the shelves, unusually the back is glazed and not lined in material.
The cabinets stand has square tapering legs, it is of a serpentine shape, fitted with a wider central drawer and a smaller drawer to each side. All the drawers are fitted with the original cast brass swing handles.
