Here we offer you this Victorian oak library bookcase with carved panel doors that are t dated 1641, although this bookcase was made circa 1880. NOW SOLD
Commonly in the Victorian period, cabinetmakers would find panels of carvings from earlier pieces and build a piece around them. These panels each have a bust of a male and a verse carved above each bust.
The top bookcase (this bookcase comes into 2 parts, the top section and the base section) is 2 sections each fitted with 3 adjustable shelves.
The base with the central cupboard with a pair of panel doors opening to real a pair of shelves. To each side of the cupboard are open storage one side with a single shelf and a pair of shelves to the other.
This bookcase is of a good size and not too tall. It will be great for you as it uses all the space it sits on and so very efficient of space with the bonus of it being attractive and visually very interesting.
