This Victorian mahogany chiffonier sideboard is of a really good size, as it is not too large, but also of great size for lots of storage. NOW SOLD
Below the moulded top are 2 sweeping waterfall drawers, which give this sideboard a great feel.
Under the drawers are a pair of panel doors, that open to reveal a shelf and storage. To the right-hand side, there is a shelf with a fitted a bottle drawer below.
The sideboard stands on a plinth base.
To each side of the doors it has 3 well carved applied mouldings.
We have sold this style of sideboard for many situations around the home. Not only are they great for using in the dining room, but they can be placed in a drawing room or hallway, office or landing.
When this lovely chiffonier was first made circa 1870, it would have been placed in the home of a family of the professional classes.
