This Victorian leather reading chair was made circa 1860. NOW SOLD
Standing on fine turned oak front legs with its original brass cup castors, the chair with the generous deep button back and swept arms.
We have restored this chair back to its former glory, including fully upholstering it before using fine English leather.
Our specialist in antique leather work has hand dyed the English hide before finishing with various waxes and other finishes to give it this original look and feel. The leather would pass as being the original, clients are amazed when I tell them our leather is not the original and love the fact that it is new leather looking period and so will last again for generations.
