Formerly it would have been used as music cabinet, but it is well placed to be used for a more modern use as a drink cabinet or gin palace.
It is also larger than the usual cabinets of the Victorian period.
The box base section with the inlaid panel door, that unlocks and falls forward to reveal the fitted interior. The interior is beautifully finished in walnut and has sections that could be used for bottles and glassware.
The top shelf with its cast brass gallery has inlaid patterns to the front corners that are joined by box stringing. The shelf is supported by finely carved solid walnut supports to each corner.
This Victorian inlaid walnut music cabinet stands on the original turned legs with castors under.
Whilst this is categorised as a music cabinet, it has so many uses for a modern home.
