Victorian Gothic oak library steps
This set of Victorian Gothic oak library steps would have been first made circa 1880. NOW SOLD
Made for an important library in a large house or institution, that would have been furnished with very fashionable oak panels and bookcases also in the Gothic style.
The library steps have 4 treads, and then a square section handle with chamfered edges, finishing then with a lovely turned grip at the top.
The base with panels with fretted cut Gothic designs.
This is a superb looking item of library furniture, but also being very practical for use.
