This large brass bound camphor wood trunk would have many stories to tell.
Originally made to transport officers uniforms around the British Empire. These were made of camphor to keep moths and insects away from the cloth carried inside.
The brass corners were put into the frame, not only for decoration, but to help the chest withstand the rigours of being transported around the world.
We have recently deep buttoned the top, in fine antiqued leather, by our own craftsmen.
The lid opens to reveal a full storage area, and the delicate scent of the wood
