This set of 8 Hepplewhite style ladderback dining chairs were made circa 1900. NOW SOLD
The chairmaker has used a drawing from Hepplewhite’s book of furniture design.
This classic dining chair, with the pierced and carved wavy splats, delicate carving to the shoulders and the moulded front legs with the H stretchers.
Having the H stretchers joining the legs makes these most durable and add the strength to support the 21st dinner guest!
The bowed upholstered seats in a blue material that is held in place with brass studs.
Each armchair has the out swept arms and fine carving on the hand grip.
