Regency style mahogany 12 seat dining table
This Regency style mahogany 12 seat dining table was made circa 1920 by a cabinetmaker using period timber. NOW SOLD
At this time, there was plenty of redundant timber that was available to upcycle into this elegant dining table using the Georgian timber on offer.
The cabinetmaker made this table in the Regency style, using a design that has been placed in fine homes since the late 18th century. He would use his own eye for the proportion and elegance this table gives. There are others that you will see that were made by cabinetmakers who tried to get the same feel but failed.
The table top with a good wide crossbanding running around the outer edge.
The table stands on 3 mahogany pedestals with moulded reed legs coming off the gun barrel turned supports. At the end of each leg is a cast brass claw toe with brass rolling castors under.
This is a table that will seat 12 comfortably and is not too wide.
Imagine entertaining around this good table, and all the enjoyment that will be had.
