This Regency mahogany extending dining table was made in the 1820s.
It is in the high-Regency style with the finely turned mahogany legs with reeds.
This style of leg was extensively used by Gillows and the other top manufacturers in the period.
The dining table has the extra centre leg, this was to give extra support on these larger tables, especially as the mahogany was of good quality and weight.
The table slides out on oak runners, this allows you to place in any combination of the 3 leaf extensions. Therefore, you can extend the dining table to seat the required number. It is a comfortable 12 seat table.
The top has the rounded corners which makes the table have a softer look.
