Here we have this superb large Regency mahogany dining table, with rosewood cross-banding edged with brass stringing.
The mahogany rectangular top with rounded corners, that sits upon a solid block above the mahogany column, with 4 sabre legs coming off and ending with the original brass capped castors.
The central column with top and tail acanthus leaf carving.
This superb Regency table gives a large serving area, and makes a comfortable 8+ seat dining table.

This table would have been first crafted by top cabinet makers of the day, circa 1820. At a time when Britain was celebrating the great victories of Trafalgar and Waterloo, but also George IV ascends the throne after the death of George III.

The table also would have been part of the lives of families who served in many of the major military conflicts of the 19th and 20thc., the advent of the car, aeroplane, and now the new electronic data era.
