Made of dense walnut and then deeply carved and shaped dramatically in the style of Daniel Marot who was famous for such elaborate style.
Each chair has the good high back and stand on the carved cabriole legs joined by shaped stretchers.
I purchased this pair of chairs in wonderful condition, and we only needed to give them as light wax to bring them up a little.
These would be magnificent in an entrance hall or placed in a drawing room or bedroom.
These are so special they will suit almost any setting.
