An original pair of bedside cabinets of the Edwardian period is very rare.
Before the mid to late 20thc. bedside cabinets were normally made as single cabinets for a bedroom. We were fortunate to purchase this pair of Edwardian mahogany bedside cabinets. The owners informed me that their ancestors commissioned these to go into separate bedrooms and so that is why there is a pair.
Each cabinet has a drawer and a cupboard door that opens to reveal a shelf, all with the original brass fittings. The cabinets have boxwood line inlays around the doors and drawers.
