Mahogany bow fronted small linen press
This mahogany bow fronted small linen press would have been first made in the first half of the 20thc.
A quality piece like this would have been made in a exclusive workshop, to be then retailed by a high end retailer, perhaps Harrods.
The pair of doors with oval panels of flame mahogany, that open to reveal a shelf and full storage.
The flat top is finish in mahogany with a delicate banding running along the outside edge.
We call this a linen press, but it was made for many uses, including as a drinks cupboard.
Below the cupboard top is a chest that is fitted 2 short above 3 long drawers below. (The term ‘short drawers’ mean width not depth)
All the drawers are fitted with their original oval brass handles.
83cms wide (32 1/2ins)
