Late Victorian Inlaid Rosewood Cylinder Bookcase

This superb and eye catching piece of late Victorian furniture was made circa 1880-1900

The cylinder roll-top desk front is profusely inlaid with bone and satinwood. The cylinder opens to reveals a fitted interior with an inset gilt tooled leather writing surface that slides out for use.

Below the cylinder is a pair of mahogany lined drawers and they are above a pair of cupboards with lovely inlaid panels and with an open storage area between.

The glazed display/ bookcase above has 3 plate glass shelves and finishes at the top with a Swan neck pediment with a turned finial to the centre.

The whole stands on tapering legs with spade feet.
