This was made in the George VI period, and retailed by a high-end store, possibly Harrods. NOW SOLD
The wingchair has a loose cushion to the seat. The back, arms and wings are deep buttoned, this gives it a classic, country house look. The leather has now aged to an almost crocodile skin texture.
The front legs are moulded mahogany using the classic design of the Georgian period, the legs are joined by stretchers to give added strength.
