Georgian oak pot-board dresser with rack.
This impressive dresser with original wonderful wide waxed backboards to the plate rack that has shelves and hanging hooks. The pot-board dresser base consisting of 4 drawers above 3 small drawers that are set above the double arches that are supported by gun barrel turnings and finished with panelled backboards. Although the handles are not original and would have been changed with fashion 100 years or more ago look very much in keeping. Interestingly there is some use of mahogany around the arches and on one small drawer front, add to that the un-usual double turnings to the end . All original and quite experimental on a piece of this age. This is a wonderful looking dresser and the images do not do justice to its great proportion and design.
