This George VI mahogany 3 pedestal dining table was made in an independent cabinetmakers workshop circa 1915. In this period there were many high-class cabinetmakers, constructing these tables for the professional classes.
It stands on the 3 pillar columns with the triple legged bases. Each with a turned central column and the elegant splay legs off that then ending with the cast brass claw toes and rolling castors under. The top surface in figured mahogany with an attractive cross-banding
The design of this elegant dining table is a timeless classic, a design that has been popular since 1780. Table like this example were in the grand houses of the Georgian period onwards, they are so easy to get more chairs around than the modern styles.
