George III cabriole leg dresser

George III cabriole leg dresser

Here we have this wonderful dresser base standing on elegant cabriole legs.

This would have been made in the North C0untry , probably Lancashire.

The dresser fitted 3 drawers with brass swan neck drop handles.

The boarded oak top with a mahogany cross-banding around the edge, the same cross-banding is around the drawer fronts.

To each front corner it is canted and a delicate reed has been moulded into it. It is a very attractive feature and puts this piece into a more sophisticated category.

This is a very versatile piece and would great n many places around the home.

We have sold these to customers to put in hall-ways, dining rooms, drawing rooms, landings and kitchens.
