This Edwardian narrow open bookcase was made circa 1900. It would have been made in one of the most prestigious workshops of the day. Probably James Shoolbred.
It has 3 surfaces to display your prized books, the 2nd shelf is deeper than the rest as it protrudes with a fine moulding to the front and edge so that a deep book can be placed on it. 24cms 91/2ins
The interior of the back is panelled, just another pointer to the quality this bookcase was made to.
It stands on splay bracket feet.
