This Edwardian mahogany camel back sofa is upholstered in fine English leather.NOW SOLD
The mahogany sofa has the classic shape of a Chippendale piece, with the camel hump back, square moulded legs and with the pierced fretted stretchers joining the legs.
We have used our specialist upholsterers and leather craftsmen to completely strip this back to the frame and then to bring it back to this wonderful finish.
The Grade 1 English leather hide is applied in russet before the long process of hand dying and our exclusive antiquing process is done. This work is very skilled as well very time consuming as the hundreds of brass headed studs are tapped in individually, each one taking skill and care to do this laborious job.
The loose cushion is feather filled, making this a very comfortable sofa to relax on.

The studwork along the front apron are made to decorative panels as well as small motifs.
