Edwardian inlaid rosewood drop leaf table
This Edwardian inlaid rosewood drop leaf table was made circa 1900.
The table is of a great small size so that it is suitable for many purposes around the modern home.
The table has a serpentine shape leaf at each end of the rectangular top. The drop leaves are supported when in use by wings that swing out from the side of the table.
The top has fine box wood stringing as well as a central inlaid panel as well as panels on each leaf.
The table stands on square tapering legs to each corner, finishing on the original brass square caps with brass castors under. The legs are joined by a platform shelf that has a pierced gallery and fine box stringing.
There is one long drawer to the front again with its original brassware. The handles with shaped drop swing handles and fretted back plates.
