Antique mahogany fluted leg extending dining table
This Antique mahogany fluted leg extending dining table was made circa 1830
The table pulls open on a telescopic action to extend, so that you can place the large extra leaf into place.
The cabinet maker took time selecting the best mahogany timber before constructing this table, and his time was well spent as it has a lovely grain and is a lovely warm colour.
At each corner there is a turned fluted solid mahogany leg the end on fabulous large brass cups with rolling castors below. The castors make pulling the table open very simple.
Running around the bottom edge of the apron there is a subtle stained pear banding, coloured to simulate ebony.
Imagine sitting around this table while you entertain your family and friends.
This is a very comfortable 8-10 seat table, and gives ample room for the diner.
