Here we have this magnificent Antique Burr-Elm chest on stand, in the William and Mary style .
This chest on stand was made by a highly skilled cabinetmaker, who had taken time sourcing wonderful burr elm veneers.
Each drawer has herring-bone banding and walnut cross-banding around the drawer edges, all of which are fitted the original brass drop handles.
Made in 2 sections, the top section, being a chest fitted 2 small, and 3 long graduated drawers.
The base section, consisting of 3 drawers standing on 3 turned legs to the front and a leg to each corner at the rear, all joined by a shaped stretcher and turned feet below.
Imagine this wonderful piece in your home as your friends and family cast their eyes on it.
