Our premises are situated in Wilton which is on the outskirts of Salisbury, Wiltshire and only a very short walk from Wilton House, the Wilton Shopping Village and the Italianate church. The historic city of Salisbury (Wiltshire) is only 2 miles where the famous Salisbury Cathedral is situated. Stonehenge is 5 miles to the north, Fovant Badges 6 miles and Gold Hill Shaftesbury 15 miles. Winchester (Hampshire) 20 miles, Southampton (Hampshire) 20 miles are conveniently situated. Bournemouth (Dorset) , Poole (Dorset), Dorchester (Dorset) are all within 30 miles and London 80 miles.

Salisbury in Wiltshire is conveniently situated close to not only the Hampshire county border but Dorset, Somerset and Avon.

Whilst we predominantly sell quality antique furniture from Georgian through to early 20th c. pieces, we do stock smaller pieces of antique and decorative items to suit the interior decorator or the individual. Many of these items we stock do have a quirky or one off feel to them. Over 30 years of trading antiques has given us tremendous experience that we are happy to use to help you choose the correct item for your setting.

Our premises is stocked with over 200 pieces of antique furniture including Antique desks, antique dining tables, antique chests of drawers, antique oak, antique chairs, antique tables, antique clocks, and antique oak furniture in a variety of styles. You will be left to browse and examine the varied choice of antique furniture on offer in our friendly and relaxed showrooms.

Georgian furniture we categorise as made in the period 1714-1800, Regency furniture 1800-1830, William IV furniture 1830-1840 , Victorian furniture 1840-1900, and Edwardian furniture 1901-1920. We understand that there is overlapping of monarchs but it is difficult to precisely put styles to each monarch.

Our English antique furniture is selected to the quality we would wish for if it was for our own private use. We only have 1 buyer who has over 30 years experience of selecting the right design and best quality to sell under the Hingstons of Wilton antique shop banner. That enables any purchaser of antiques to have the confidence that they are indeed buying the antique to the correct quality of finish and timber chosen when the antique was first made.
